Yes. The National Credit Act requires us to check your credit record and make sure the loan is affordable for you before we approve it. We only do this with your consent when you apply. The eligibility check on our website does not affect your credit record.

A clear photo of your SA ID, passport or permit — you can take it with your phone camera right on the form — and bank statements from the account your salary goes into: 1 or 3 months for short-term loans, 6 months for medium-term loans, and up to 12 months for long-term loans. Foreign nationals also need their visa, permit or asylum document, and a police-stamped affidavit as proof of address.

Repayments are collected by debit order (DebiCheck) on your payday, as soon as your salary is paid in. You tell us your payday when you apply, and you approve the debit order with your bank. Your exact amounts and dates are set out in your quote and credit agreement, which you accept before any money is paid out.

Yes. Your details and documents are stored securely, and your ID or passport photo can only be seen by you and authorised Long Money staff. We never sell your information. Read our Privacy Policy to learn more.
